Reimbursement
Since January, 2003 the AMA has published dedicated laser CPT Codes (96920, 96921, and 96922) for use when billing XTRAC procedures. Today, all major insurance companies reimburse for psoriasis as a second-tier therapy for mild to moderate psoriasis and some are starting to reimburse XTRAC as a first-tier therapy for severe psoriasis. Many companies are starting to reimburse for vitiligo as well.
Prior to the clinical in-service, our direct-employee reimbursement specialists will conduct a training session with your billing staff to walk them through how we minimize problems and risks associated with billing for XTRAC treatments. We will train your staff on how to interface with our exclusive on-line Reimbursement Database system for XTRAC.
The PhotoMedex RDX system is another example of our on-going commitment to develop value-added services for dermatologists who routinely prescribe the XTRAC laser, which now number well over 1,000. In-Service Training
After the XTRAC system is installed, you and your treatment providers will be fully trained at your location in the proper use and operation of the XTRAC Laser. Comprehensive information and materials for documentation purposes will be provided to assure seamless integration of the XTRAC therapy into your practice.
